On February 15 -18th 2009, Bindu Madhavi, Breakthrough's India office Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, received a standing ovation after presenting a paper on the findings from our Is This Justice? campaign at the International Conference on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Mumbai, India.

The international conference provided a forum for researchers, program managers, policy makers, women’s groups, health activists, health care providers, human rights groups and others who are concerned about GBV & SRH to come together to share their experiences towards reducing gender based violence.

The conference was organized by: National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (Indian Council of Medical Research), UNDP/UNFPA/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction, and Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility.
