Breakthrough's Crissy Spivey and Madhuri Mohindar will be presenting Breakthrough's immigration work at the fourth annual Netroots Nation event in Pittsburgh.
Netroots Nation amplifies progressive voices by providing an online and in-person campus for exchanging ideas and learning how to be more effective in using technology to influence the public debate.
The "Si Se Puede 2.0" panel discussion will center on ways to encourage people to take interest in immigration reform using online and offline strategies, video games, documentaries and blogs. Look for the "Si Se Puede 2.0" panel discussion on Saturday, August 15th.
Crissy Spivey will also be presenting on, “Connecting People to Policy” on Friday, August 14th. Panelists will present tools such as our project Homeland Guantanamos on immigrant detention that use storytelling to influence positive change.
