A guide to implementing HIV/STD prevention peer education programs in schools and organizations.

Jaago, Jaano, Jagaao is intended for trainers who train peer educators. The trainers will facilitate a process for peer educators to engage in self-examination, learn the basics of HIV/AIDS and STDs, improve their communications skills, and plan for peer education. The trainers will be leading peer educators to think and talk - about values, attitudes, beliefs, risks, behaviors, sex, sexuality and relationships.

The guide can assist planners to develop a program tailored to many specific settings. Although each school, community, or agency may differ in structure, this manual identifies and covers the key components essential to creating a successful HIV/AIDS and STD prevention peer education program.
