Breakthrough’s campaign Mann ke Manjeeré, is based on a music video and album of the same name. It became a cult-classic around the world and was nominated for an MTV award because of the video’s powerful imagery based on a true story: a fearless woman (actress Mita Vasisht) takes us on the journey of a fearless woman who leaves an abusive marriage and works as a truck driver to support her and her daughter.

Featuring five songs by Shubha Mudgal, the most renowned contemporary female artist in India written by lyricist Prasoon Joshi, Mann ke Manjeeré combines the best musical elements of folk, contemporary and classical Indian forms.

The album challenges us to listen with our hearts and to participate in removing the obstacles to the realization of women’s dreams.
