Warren Joseph was from Trinidad, but had a green card and served in the U.S. Army in Iraq. After he returned home after war, he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and ended up serving three years in immigrant detention. He faced and observed numerous counts of abuse from immigration officials.
The harsh, inhumane conditions being faced yearly by nearly 300,000 people in immigrant detention are a result of unfair Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policies.
