Check out pictures from Breakthrough’s campaign on inhumane immigrant detention. Get a look at the detention center inside and out and the characters who tell their story.

The Homeland Guantanamos site was created to bring attention to the conditions being faced yearly by nearly 300,000 people in immigrant detention as a result of unfair Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policies.

Visit Homeland Guantanamos to hear real stories of pregnant women being forced to give birth in shackles, HIV+ people being denied medication, teenagers being separated from their families, and war veterans being placed in solitary confinement for challenging abuse. The site is dedicated to the memory of Boubacar Bah, a tailor from Guinea, who died in detention in 2007.
