Breakthrough's video, debuted at our public forum, "Why Can't America Have Human Rights?" on September 14, 2006, at the Riverside Church in NYC.

Our music video, set to DJ K-Salaam’s song inspired by Bob Marley’s “So Much Trouble in the World,” profiles the history of social movements in the U.S. using historical film footage and striking photographs that connect what these movements have in common: a quest for universal human rights.

The video weaves images of violations with powerful examples of people resisting oppression, uniting together for a cause, and demanding respect and dignity for all of humankind.
