Lynn helps manage the way Breakthrough presents itself in the world, handling everything from positioning to press-releasing to proofreading. She brings to Breakthrough two decades of experience in journalism, advocacy, and pop culture designed to make a difference. She has written extensively about women’s rights, reproductive justice, gender, religion, disability, and culture (sometimes all at once). Her award-winning work has appeared in The New York Times, Salon.com, The Nation.com, Glamour, and many more. She is co-founder, with Chris Kalb, of the (also) award-winning BreakupGirl.net, online headquarters of the only superhero who rescues men and women from romantic peril. She is author of several books (most recently Death By Chick Lit). In ancient times, she was a standup comic, ice hockey player, and PR director for NOW’s Boston chapter. She now volunteers with The Afghan Women’s Writing Project and The Op-Ed Project. A graduate of Yale, Lynn lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two small, generally agreeable children.
