Sunita helps deliver the community education and leadership development that bring human rights values directly into hearts, homes, and communities across India and beyond. She develops and implements national-level trainings on citizenship education, women’s rights, sexuality and HIV/ AIDS, and has herself run over 800 programs that educate civil society groups, government departments, corporations and marginalized communities on social justice issues and making needed change. She has written several educational guides on HIV/AIDS awareness, sex-selective elimination, and healthy sexuality, and several nationally-published articles on development issues. She has also scripted and hosted education programs for Gyan Darshan, a national television channel. Sunita serves on the board of Pravah, a leading youth development organization, and is a founding member of Sangawari, which uses theatre and culture to address conflict-related issues. Her favorite downtime activity: strolling the streets and alleys of the old cities of India.
